Photo contest

A photo contest for students of Latin America Studies, and I'll be one of the jury members :-). Check out: http://www.sonla.nl/nl/activiteiten/fotowedstrijd/ It's in Dutch, and I'm not sure if it's open for everyone, just check it out yourself. Theme: transport in Latin America. In Cuba they've developed a new type due to the lack of public transport:

A Dreary day in Amsterdam

The start of the trialrun. I'll see if I can keep up shooting one picture a day in Holland already. I didn't get out for this one though. This is the view from my houseboat.

Recent work

Just to get the hang of it, a few test uploads with recent work

Honduras: Landless farmers have occupied a piece of land. They've built small houses and are trying to make a living here. They are represented by a Lawyer of Via Campesina, an international farmers association, in their legal battle against the original landowner.

If you want to see some more of my work you can visit my website: www.photofactory.nl. I'll be updating the site too during my stay. This Blog will contain seperate photos. At the website I'll post series.

Welcome

Hi, my first Blog experience.
As I am leaving for Venezuela soon, I thought I'll set up a "A Photo A Day" Blog. I intend to take at least one photo every day during my stay in Latin America. I probably won't be able to post them every day but I'll update as often as possible. I'll try to include some of my adventures as well, if I feel like writing.
Keep coming back for regular updates, or you can subscribe to an irregular newsletter to announce updates.
